Our staff isn't just experienced—they’re committed, with many team members dedicating years of service to our center. Together, they bring over 75 years of combined experience to our classrooms, kitchen, and leadership team. Dani, our director has been with us since 2008 and Kenya, our Assistant Director has been with us since 2018!

As childcare professionals, we understand the importance of childhood’s early, formative years. The valuable experiences and opportunities for first-time achievements that are presented to young children lay the foundation for higher learning.
It is our objective to create a happy, warm, and disciplined environment for our students. Therefore, we will strive to teach manners, fairness, courtesy, and respect for others, while remaining constantly alert to the well-being of our students.
Our Story
Kids Academy first opened the doors in 2001 when sisters Julie Leech and Christi Baeumel saw the need for quality childcare in the growing Buda area. With Christi’s early childhood experience and Julie’s business background, they set out to create a place where kids could thrive.
The sisters found the perfect spot on Main Street, bought a 1.25-acre lot, and built a 6,000 sq ft center. Since then, we’ve added another building, more amazing teachers, and lots of happy families!
Julie passed away in 2018, but her legacy of kindness lives on. Christi, now raising her three kids, continues to run the business behind the scene
